Data-wind PocketSurfer 5X, 5 and 3G5 smartphones launched

DataWind PocketSurfer 5X, 5 and 3G5 smartphones with 5-inch display launched, starts at Rs. 3499

DataWind, popular for its low-cost Aakash tablet and UbiSlate tablets has entered into smartphone market with its new PocketSurfer range – PocketSurfer 5X, PocketSurfer 5 and PocketSurfer 3G5. The PocketSurfer 5X has a 5-inch WQVGA display, powered by a single-core 1GHz Cortex A8 processor and runs on Linux OS. Both the PocketSurfer 5 and PocketSurfer 3G5 have a 5-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display. The PocketSurfer 5 is powered by a single-core 1 GHz Cortex A9 processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). The 3G5 is powered by a dual-core 1.2 GHz Cortex A7 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean).

All these smartphones have dual SIM support and micro SD card support. The PocketSurfer 5x and 5 have 2G (EDGE) support and the 3G5 comes with 3G support.
