HOW TO DOWNLOAD INSTAGRAM PHOTOS AND BACK UP ON SKYDRIVE

In this era of cloud computing taking backup of photos stored on your smartphone and tablet devices have become easier than ever. Without even using your computer you can store the files from your iPhone, Android or Windows Phone directly to services like SkyDrive and Dropbox. The automatic feature does the back up without any need of manual setting.

Well, the photos in your Instagram account cannot do this in the same manner. SkyDrive does not support the automated backups here. Below is step-by-step guide how you can automatically back up the Instagram photos to SkyDrive by using IFTTT recipe.

Step 1

Sign up a free account on IFTTT Web site (ifttt.com) and click on the “Create a Recipe” button on the dashboard.

Step 2

Next, you will see in blue color the word “this.” Click on it and then choose Instagram as your trigger channel. Here the IFTTT will ask for access permission. Do the needful.

Step 3

Now, click on “Any new photo by you” as the trigger. After doing this you need to click on the Create Trigger button.

Step 4

You will see blue color word “that.” Click on it and then on “View all Channels” to see in a new browser tab the SkyDrive channel.

Step 5

After all the four steps are done, now you need to activate the SkyDrive channel and then need to give IFTTT access to your account in SkyDrive.

Step 6

After you have activated the SkyDrive channel you need to close the tab and again come back to your recipe. To do this you need select the SkyDrive as your action channel.

Step 7

Now you need to choose “Add file from URL” as your action. After doing this you need to click on the Create Action button, which will be in blue color.

Step 8

After this just click on the Create Recipe button that will be again in blue color. Save your new recipe here and then turn it on.

With this you are done. In ever 15 minutes the recipe will check your Instagram account and save your new photos on your SkyDrive account.
