Whispers of a larger iPhone 6 have been circulating since the Apple rumour mill gears first started grinding, and now there's fresh evidence to suggest that a big-screened iPhone is on the way.

French site Nowhereelse.fr has obtained pictures of an allegedly genuine iPhone 6 manufacturing mould, with a recess that is noticeably larger than the existing iPhone.
By resizing the image to scale with an iPhone 4S for reference, the size of the iPhone 6's screen has been calculated to be around 4.7 inches - substantially larger than the current 4in screen of the iPhone 5S, 5C and 4S.
A larger iPhone screen has been on many a gadgeteer's wish list for quite some time, and larger screens are one of the main reasons that keep people in the Android camp. If the rumours prove to be true then it could be enough to tempt people back to the world of iOS.
Of course, not everyone will welcome the change. Phones like the Xperia Z1 Compact have shown that there is a demand for powerful no-compromise smartphones with smaller, easier to manage screens.
It is possible that Apple could release two iPhones to please big and small screen fans alike, and previous rumours suggest that this could very well be the case.
The iPhone 6 is expected to be revealed in September, so stay tuned for more info as and when we get it.
